I would hope that if an LAV crashes into a Tank it's put against their teamkill damage, and if a Tank monster trucks an LAV it counts as a teamkill + the damage. But will this be the case? No idea

You didn't get a 'test run' with you initial SP, just invest into entry level skills. I don't have to run a weapon full proto before I know if I'll like it, I'd suggest not level 5'ing too many unnecessary skills before you get some games in with ...
